What You Need Before Your Wedding Ceremony

Before your ceremony, you must obtain a valid Florida marriage license from a Florida Clerk of Court. Florida marriage licenses are generally valid for 60 days, so your ceremony must take place before the license expires. Florida residents may also be subject to a three-day waiting period unless they qualify for an exception under Florida law. Different requirements apply to non-Florida residents. Please note: Notary Document Services Florida does not issue marriage licenses. Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license before the ceremony.
